Solista research lab has confirmed a road-trip later in the year. We are sending an ace team to #AWSreInvent in November. For the majority going on the trip it will their first time at re:Invent. The excitement is already bubbling away under the surface in the office. It will only grow as the event get’s closer. The rumour from the office corridors is that the research lab boffins are working on a top secret Alexa skill with a re:Invent twist.
AWS re:Invent 2017 saw over 40,000 people attend the conference. During the event there was 70 new products and services announced. This year’s event looks like it will surpass last year with a conference campus stretching across seven Las Vegas properties.
The team will be using the trip to boost proficiency in AWS services and connect with our colleagues from around the world at AWS and our other strategic partners. There will be content from existing AWS customers, the lessons learnt we will be sharing with our existing and future customers. Of course there will the product announcements which we know they are saving just for re:Invent. Our team will share on LinkedIn and Twitter these announcements as they are made.
re:Invent is also about having some fun. There is numerous events to suit everybody. At last year’s event a Guinness World Record was set for the largest chicken wing eating competition. Not sure how they intend eclipsing last year. Every year the re:Play party is the stuff of legend. Like all other attendees we wait with bated breath to see who Werner Vogels will announce as the head-line act for re:Play. We will just have to wait till his eagerly awaited keynote to find out on the morning of re:Play. Hopefully see you at #AWSreInvent in November.
